Guest Speaker, Ugly Sweaters, True Aggie Night....OH MY!

HEY AGGIES! Sorry it has been a while, my camera and memory card have been on the fritz, but they are mostly working now so we are back on!

I'd first like to blog about our amazing Alum-night we had with Ted Jensen, VP of IBEW. He is quite the man who has a lot of knowledge, and we truly enjoyed having him speak to us! He talked a lot about compliments of certain things and just how to grab an opportunity when it comes at you. One thing he said that I really liked was that when you say no or shut one door, another doesn't always open. He suggested to take each opportunity and peel back its layers and see what it holds and what it will do to benefit you in the long run.

He also added in that as students, now while we are developing life long habits and patterns, that right now, we need to take the time to do something we enjoy. As students we are always running out of time because of work, school, projects, roommates, family and everything else the world throws at us, but one of his biggest suggestions was to make sure you take time to do something you enjoy. I would also like to add, that by doing that, it actually keeps most of us students pretty sane and it makes it a lot easier to enjoy life!

He was such a great speaker and incredible man to talk to! Thank you Ted Jensen!

The next thing that we need to catch up on is our UGLY SWEATER DANCE!!!!!!!!!! What a great SAA activity! We had a lot of people show up and have a good time and blow off some dead week stress! There is nothing quite like getting with your friends, wearin' your ugly sweater and dancin' the night away! Thanks for coming everyone, it was a great time!

Last but not least.....TRUE AGGIE NIGHT! For it being the middle of December and freezing cold, we had a great turn out! Thanks everyone for comin' to smooch you sweat heart at midnight! Go Aggies!!!

Last but not least I would just like to wish all the Aggies out there a Happy Holidays! True Aggie Night

Well Aggies......we have done it again! True Aggie Night was a success, especially for it being so cold! Logan is such a perfect place to live in, but once that wind starts coming out of the canyon it is bitter, but that bitter wind stopped no one last night! We had quite the turn out for how chilly it was! We have several new True Aggies in our midst so check out the pics below to see if you see you or anyone you know!

Also just a reminder, our November activity is on Wednesday the 16th! We will be have turkey bowling, pie eating contests, thank you card chains and so much more so make sure you are all there!

Happy November Aggies!!!!!!!!!!!!

Movie Night

I cant believe October is practically over! Where did all the time go?! I must say however that for being over half way through the semester, we have had some good times already! True Aggie Nights have been a hit, our first Alum Night was spectacular and all of our activities have gone great, so we decided what better way to end October then with fun movie activity where we just got to relax for a couple hours and have some fun!

Wednesday was great! We got together and watched the ever so classic 1993 hit, Hocus Pocus! What a way to take you back to your childhood. It was great. We had treats, a fun movie and time with friends. I don't think you can get much better then that! Yes, I was a slacker and completely forgot my camera, but know that we all had a good time!

Well there is is Aggies, the end of October! As the semester is closing in, we wish you all good luck and from everyone on SAA.....HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!

Alum Night and True Aggie Night

HEY AGGIES!!!!! So glad to see that everyone is still surviving this semester! I'd like to just do a quick post on the events we had this past week. We were able to have a double whammy this week with an Alum Night and a True Aggie Night all on one night.

For our first Alum Night, Braquel planned a fabulous event down in Park City! I was unable to be there myself, but I heard nothing but fabulous things. I heard from tons that the food was delicious and that the people and experience was wonderful! At the Alum Night, students had the privilege to meet and talk with Gail Bedke (VP OC Tanner), Dale Adams (Economics/Finance), Dave and Suzzane Moore (Business), Robin Tvurdy Mazzone (Real Estate/Teaching), and Sally Tauber (Swaner Eco Center.)

Below are some pics that were sent to me so check to see if you beautiful face made it onto the post! I'd also like to give a big shout out to Braquel for planning such a wonderful Alum Night!

Along with our Alum Night, just a few hours after, we had our 3rd True Aggie Night for this year, which also went great! There was a great turn out and the weather was a little chilly, but just right if you ask me! Congrats to all our recent True Aggies and we look forward to seeing everyone next month! And as always, Thank Megan for putting together such a fun night :D
